Holding tanks are generally septic tanks that are sealed on the outlet and do not connect to a drain field. All the waste enters the tank and then must be pumped out by a vacuum truck.
Holding tanks are available in several different sizes, from 250 gallons ( usually for RV’s) to 1000’s of gallons.
Some properties cannot be approved for a septic system. Sometimes when this occurs the property can be approved for a holding tank. The owner of the property must contract with a pumping company to pump the waste from the tank when necessary, and annually report to the DEQ.
Sweet Water Sanitation can rent tanks for RV’s and temporary projects, and offers the contracting service for all tanks.
